Chèvre cheese is extremely common in many places in the world, including France, and more and more, you’ll see this delicious type of cheese made in the US, with many small local dairies producing excellent cheeses.
Heritage Homestead produces both plain Chevre and flavored Chevre which is packaged in 4oz, 8oz and 1 lb. plastic containers.
Flavored Chevre-Garlic and Chive , Roasted Red Pepper Basil Pesto , Green Olive, Sun Dried Tomato, Fiesta (w/ Chipotle salsa,) Orange Cranberry Black Walnut, Pineapple Pecan, Cherry Almond and Ginger Mango. Our two aged cheeses are made with pasteurized milk, then pressed, waxed and aged to develop their individual flavors. Our Gouda has a fresh, buttery flavor and texture. Our Nathan's Creek cheese is aged longer and has a firmer texture and a sharper flavor then the Gouda.
Serving and Cooking with Goat Cheese-Goat cheese is delicious served alone on a cracker, as a dip for fresh veggies or used in a recipe. The aged cheeses are wonderful when allowed to come to room temperature and then served with proscuitto and a glass of win
