Who We Are-                                                                                                                      
High Country Grassfed is a cooperative of farms which are all based in the mountains of western North Carolina.  All of the animals from these farms are raised humanely and sustainably on lush mountain pastures.  None of our farmers uses hormones, medications or feeds antibiotics to their food animals.  We formed the buying club to help these farmers get their exceptional products to a larger market outside of their local farmer's markets.  We also believe that farmers should receive a good price for their products.  A price that will allow them to stay on their land and keep farming.

High Country Grassfed offers beef, pork, chicken, duck, lamb, goat meat, eggs, , artisinal breads, jams & preserves, almond and peanut butter, goat cheese, honey, molasses and goat milk soaps and lotions.  Purchases are made through our online store and deliveries are made every 6 weeks.  Currently we are delivering to West Jefferson, Boone, Charlotte, Hickory, Greensboro, Winston-Salem, Raleigh and Durham.

To begin receiving information about our products and delivery dates, please send an email to highcountrygrassfed@yahoo.com and indicate where you would like to pick up your order.  Check the calendar page for ordering and delivery dates for each city.  Scroll over the highlighted dates and the details will appear in a separate window.
We send out emails by location when the ordering dates are open for that delivery location.  The ONLINE STOREis only available when the order opens for a specific location.

How It Works-

• Send us an email indicating the location that you would like your order delivered to.  We are currently delivering to:

• Check the CALENDAR page for order and delivery dates in your area.
• Order through our ONLINE STORE.  Products are listed by category, for example "beef", and then by farmer/producer.  Customers order from the farmer of their choice.  See their stories on our FARMERS and PRODUCERS page.
• There is a .25/lb delivery charge for orders outside of Ashe & Watuaga counties.  For example, if you order 10 lbs of meat, your delivery charge will be $2.50.

  

Ordering & Pick Up Protocol-      

• Bring a cooler or thermal bag to carry your food home in.

•   Hostesses provide a pick up point for our customers but they do not provide restrooms facilities.  All pick ups will be outside under a tent.
• High Country Grassfed only accepts cash (we are looking into allowing orders to be prepaid through PayPal-stay tuned!).       
  
• All meat prices are PER POUND.  Eggs are per dozen.  Soaps and lotions are by the bar or bottle.  Your invoice will not reflect the true dollar amount of your order.  We will send you an email to let you know what your order and delivery total are after we have pulled the orders and get the exact weights of the pakages of meat ordered
• Arrive on time-we will only be at each drop for a short time.        
  
• If you order, please show up to pick up your order.  If orders are placed and not picked up twice then we will cancel your membership in the Buying Club
